Cyclingsport 2000 Foundation
The largest cycling event in Hungary the 2nd Central European Tour is organized by the Cyclingsport 2000 Foundation. Our foundation has organized the Tour de Hongire in the last three seasons. The Cyclingsport 2000 Foundation is commited to organize challenging cycling races in Hungary.
Great competition
Twenty teams of sixteen nations competed the stages of the 2011 Central European Tour. The finish of the final stage in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, with passing the Parliament on the way made the 2011 edition of the race unforgettable!
Cycling hero Abdoujaparov VIP at the CET!
Abdoujaparov remains most famous for tussles with Laurent Jalabert in the Tour de France\'s green sprinters jersey competition in the early 1990s. 3 times Green jersey winner at the tour and 1-1 times at the Giro and the Vuelta!
High on security
CET organizers make an effort maximizing the security of the peloton. The riders raced from Isaszeg to Budapest under closed and secured road conditions.
Rainy Day
The weather during the second Central European Tour was raining cats and dogs in strong cold wind to be burning still and hot the following day.

Cycling legends Djamolidine Abdoujaparov and Claudio Chiappucci were present at the press conference of the 2012 Central European Tour. "It is great honor, that cycling greats such as Djamolidine and Claudio accepted our invitation for the presentation of the next edition of our race." Said, main organizer, Mihaly Sutko.

Schmitt a successful fencer in his youth, won two gold medals at the Summer Olympics. Schmitt was also formerly the Vice President of the European Parliament and the Chief of Protocol of the International Olympic Committee.
